Our leaders who earned a spot on Maakoa’s first Leadership Cruise in March had a great time! They enjoyed cruising around the Bahamas, the Grand Cayman Islands, Honduras and Cozumel. Congratulations to the 30 day winners of our Get Your Lean On Weight Loss Competition! Dustin W. from Cedar Hills, UT had a total percentage of weight loss of 9.25%, and Kendra W. of Provo, UT lost 3.72% of her body weight! Both winners will receive their $50 prizes for this month. Marjorie H. of Highland, UT was a very close second, losing a total of 3.6% of her body weight. We also wanted to recognize Alex M. from Orem, UT who was also a very close second place winner for the men, with a total percentage of weight loss
of 7.66%.

All of our contestants worked very hard, and we are all so proud of all of them. Keep up the good work, and we can’t wait to see even bigger results next month!

The Maakoa halftime event was incredible, and the excitement level was off the charts! Maakoa put on a great show for all the Utah Flash screaming fans to witness. Tuesday night’s Maakoa Harley Giveaway at the UVU Event Center during halftime of the Utah Flash’s final home game was a tremendous success! Everyone in attendance was treated to a fun-filled and exciting night with Maakoa’s Harley drawing and Flash basketball! The night was electric from beginning to
end, as the Flash put on an overtime thriller, and Maakoa gave away a brand new Harley Davidson! The excitement of the crowd was difficult to contain as the Harley entries were brought center court for the drawing, and the winner of the Maakoa Harley was announced. This event could not have turned out any better as the Harley ended up in the hands of one extremely excited and very deserving fan!

MAAKOA is pleased to announce that we, along with Kylee McKell & The Rose Foundation, will be sponsoring a benefit concert to raise money for two young adults in Utah who have recently suffered serious injuries and both have been left paralyzed from the waist down. Amberley Snyder and Taylon Moody, both 19 years of age, are in need of financial help to offset the costs of medical expenses resulting from their injuries.

The concert will feature the music of country stars Billy Dean and Due West, along with upcoming country star Katie Riggs. Also to perform is the amazing boy band sensation V Factory. The concert will be hosted by David and Doug Osmond.

The concert will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the UVU McKay Event Center in Orem, Utah. The concert begins at 7:00 pm, with a pre-concert performance by Center Stage Ballroom Dancers at 6:30 pm. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Get Your “LEAN” On

We are excited to announce that we will be having a

weight loss challenge. The weight loss

challenge will run for 90 days and we will pick the winner by the highest

percentage lost. Each month we will have

two winners; one male and one female. We

will start the weigh in on Friday March 5th.

The weigh in and all information provided will be completely

confidential. We would like to take

pictures of the challenge to post on the website, especially the before and

after transformations.

For

those of you who do not live near our corporate office but would like to

participate in the weight loss challenge there is a form you can fill out.

Please have the form signed by a witness not related to you who is present at

the weigh in.

This will also be a great way to utilize the Maakoa

Wellness Plan. If you aren’t familiar

with this plan please let us know so we can tell you all about it.

The prizes will be $50 gift for the first month,

$100 gift for the second month and the final winners will get a $250 gift.

We will have 3 weigh in days a month.
